A text can destroy…or seal the deal

I had a good giggle (and then a big sigh) from this video I just discovered on HopeWanders blog (written by one of our own Glöbies!)

I switched phones a few times since I first met my hubby, so I’ve lost all our early texts. I’d give anything to have that repository from the first few months….getting to know one another, great dates, flirting, the first (12) breakups…then the make-ups – it’s all in there! I had them all saved, but alas, phone technology moved on and they were lost in the upgrade shuffle.

One of my all time favs (and perhaps the moment I decided Enrico was someone I wanted to laugh with forever), was when he sent a series of texts featuring the lyrics to a nursery rhyme he’d taught me the day before:
:-X :-P went the little green frog one day,
:-X :-P went the little green frog.
:-X :-P went the little green frog one day
and the little green frog went :-X :-P :-X :-P :-X :-P :-P:-P
(which is performed with the requisite scrunching and tongue-sticking-outing of the face. Brilliant.)

If I recall correctly, he was in the doghouse from the evening before when he told me: “I’m not sure that’s your best outfit.” …AFTER we were already out of the house and on the way to dinner. (I’ve grown to love his uber-honesty in the 8.5 years we’ve been together, but it took some getting used to in the beginning…) This text totally sealed the deal, and I think my heart was his from that point onwards.

Anyone have great conversations saved on their phones (or in your memories?) Would LOVE to see some snippets.
